The audience for magazine are Aged from about 16 to 27 years old. This is a pretty small age range but it caters to a specific niche market of ‘alternative’ music fans who aren’t interested in reading about Z-list celebrities. The readers could be interested in a specific genre of music for example; ‘The XX’, ‘Crystal Fighters’, ‘KraftWerk’ and ‘Miike Snow’. Which all feature in the contents. The magazine would appeal to fans of the drone music genre due to the title of the magazine. There will be some references to this genre but not a specialist drone magazine.
readers will be style conscious as it’s also a fashion magazine aswell as music. Their style would be ‘indie alternative’, but this covers a very broad style at the moment. Examples of this style of reader can be found on lookbook.nu, the majority of the photo’s on this website show the style of reader for magazine. Celebrity example of this style would probably include Alexa Chung, Alice Dellal, Nick Grimshaw and various band members and singers.
